Réfléchissements questioned memory, the encounter with oneself and the possibility of encountering the other. Edgar Morin in his book Leçons d’un siècle de vie (Lessons from a Century of Life) tells us that self-consciousness only achieves satisfaction in another self-consciousness. A reflection-réfléchissement?

More than a thousand of you came to Espace Pleyel, plus all of you who passed through, day and night, in front of the Analix Forever window in Geneva which echoed the Paris installation. As you enlarged the installation with your understanding and recognition, weaving links between the works, the world and yourselves, you were a vector of dignity, because you recognized yourself. 

The new year is already heckling us, the noise of the world confuses and extinguishes us. But beneath our ashes there always smolders a fire that Art in its silent movement rekindles. Martin Buber, in The Way of Man tells us that the decisive return to oneself is the beginning of the path in human life. He enjoins us to begin with ourselves, but not to end with ourselves; to take ourselves as our starting point, but not as our goal.

Therefore I wish you to be rekindled, touched and moved and that these emotions will set you on your way.
