The masks, made of modelling clay and gauze on paper or X-ray film, explore the boundary between outside and inside, what we see and what we know about ourselves.
(Inside and outside)
What do we pretend to be? Looking through the prism of our desires and dreams, we search for ourselves in the eyes of others. A distorted mirror of our realities, we try to reconcile ourselves.
We run ahead of what we will be, would be or could have been. Changing with the wind and the moment. Time teaches us to tame ourselves, its signs blurring our certainties but also decoding the dismay of those who see us in what they give us back. What do we hope to be? To choose is to play with the illusion of reality.
